Looking to upgrade an older home or property?
Let us show you how it’s done.
Houses built before 2011 are able to apply for government funding for upgrade projects.
Funding can be used for:
Getting your Building Energy Rating (BER) Cert
Upgrading insulation
Replacing windows and doors
Heating and heat pumps
Solar water heating
Solar electricity
Improve ventilation
The fees of project managers like Watt Footprint
By making houses warmer and more efficient, you reduce heating bills, make your home more comfortable, and do your bit for the environment!
Where should I start?
Step One: begin with a free consultation with our residential expert Finula, who will talk you through the process and see what it is you would like from the project.
Step Two: Finula would lead you through getting a Building Energy Rating (BER) for your property, which is an energy efficiency rating between A - G.
Step Three: together, we agree on a contract that will include the works you’d like to see carried out, the estimated costs, and a timeline.
Step Four: We take it from here! Finula handles the grant application process to maximise funding for you, and when your grant gets approved, works can begin immediately!
So, what’s in it for you?
Our services are 100% covered by your government grant (that’s right, our services are free).
Overtime, you can reduce energy costs by up to 20%. You might not even realise how much your property is draining your pockets.
You can directly contribute to Ireland’s broader goal of reducing carbon emissions by 2030.
Why chose Watt Footprint?
Our services are covered. Yes, that’s right- the grant that covers your upgrades also covers our fees.
Upgrading your property using grants can be a tedious, time-consuming job. The project can be undertaken on your own, but working with our residential expert Finula means you get a free and personalised service which saves you time and effort. We ensure the project is finished quickly and smoothly, leaving you to focus on where you’d like to spend your savings once the project is done!

Our comprehensive home energy assessment gives you everything you need to make informed decisions about improving your home’s energy efficiency. Here’s what you’ll get:
A certified BER (Building Energy Rating) – Understand your home’s current energy performance.
A full technical report – A clear breakdown of how energy-efficient your home is today.
Upgrade recommendations – Expert advice on the upgrades needed to bring your home up to a B2 rating or better.
Heat pump suitability assessment – Find out what changes are needed to make your home ready for a heat pump.
Comfort and savings report – See how the recommended improvements can make your home more comfortable and reduce your energy bills.
Cost estimate – A realistic estimate of the investment required for the suggested upgrades.
Everything is designed to help you plan your energy upgrades with confidence.
-
By identifying energy inefficiencies, a home energy assessment helps you make informed decisions on improvements like better insulation, more efficient heating, or switching to renewable energy. These upgrades can lead to lower energy bills, increased comfort, and a higher BER (Building Energy Rating), which can add value to your home.
